Starry-eyed travelers will have a field day at the Soviet-era Abastumani Astrophysical Observatory atop Mount Kanobili. The journey begins with the option between an hour-long hike or a cable car ride to the observatory. With seven telescopes built between 1932 and 1978, a small museum, and a tour option, visitors have plenty of recreational options to choose from at this remote location.
