Samtskhe-Javakheti DMO organised an info-tour to promote ecotourism potential and raise awareness of hiking trails of the region.

 

Representatives of about ten tour agencies, guides and photographers hiked to Shaori and Abuli Fortress with DMO team and covered two trails going to the Cyclopean Fortresses of Javakheti.

 

The tour was organised in the framework of the project “Mountain and Eco-Tourism Development in Samtskhe-Javakheti Region” which is implemented by DMO within the US Embassy DemCom Small Grants Program. The project started in 2020 and envisages marking trails, capacity building and marketing activities.
