With the support of the Samtskhe-Javakheti Destination Management Organization, the National Tourism Administration of Georgia conducted another training for businesses and individuals involved in the hospitality sector in Samtskhe-Javakheti.
Training – “Inclusive Tours and Accessible Services for People with Disabilities”, held on March 20 at Hotel “Tiflis”, covered such topics as accessible hiking routes, accessible camping sites, integration of sign language into tours, development of inclusive adventure tours, development of accessible cultural tours, digital accessibility for museums and cultural heritage sites. Based on the topic, it was mainly intended for accommodation facilities, as well as for guides, representatives of catering facilities and travel agencies.
Developing the quality of service in the country and equalizing it with the international standard is one of the strategic tasks of “Tourism Strategy 2025”. To promote the tourism industry, a number of short-term training courses are organized by the National Tourism Administration of Georgia throughout the country, in places of tourist interest throughout the year, the purpose of which is to deepen the knowledge and improve the skills of the employees in the industry.
