The topics of the training included such topics as different marking standards, the importance and current status of standards; getting to know the national standard in detail in terms of old and updated regulations; collecting field information, processing information and preparing a maintenance project; infrastructure of the trails; using necessary tools; required and recommended software, maps, and resources for maintenance work.
The training included both theoretical and practical parts. On the second day, the participants hiked the Saro-Nijgori trail, studied and analyzed the situation on the trail, and collected field information using appropriate programs and tools.
The training was led by Zviad Kelenjeridze, an expert of hiking trail marking. At the end of the training, the participants were awarded the certificates.
