One of the most exotic sightseeing spots of Akhaltsikhe is the Uraveli Gorge. This is a spectacular hiking opportunity from the village of Uraveli to the Agara church ruins and the Enteli stoneman. The route is close to the Turkish border and hosts wild scenery with impressive panoramas. On the way to the Uraveli village you can also visit the Baiebi rock-cut fortress.
There are several fishing farms in the valley where you can taste the amazing local Uraveli Trout and Tenili cheese, which is recognized as a monument of intangible heritage of Georgia.
