On October 22-23, Georgian National Tourism Administration hold an info-tour in Samtskhe-Javakheti. Samtskhe-Javakheti DMO was also involved in the organization of the tour which was planned in connection with the Bread Festival.

13 travel companies participated in the tour. The participants attended the Bread festival on October 22 and visited the tourist locations of the Region such as Sapara Monastery, Atskuri Fortress, hiked along the Saro-Nijgori hiking trail, met the local winemakers and visited the local entrepreneur, Aluda Jvaridze, where they tasted traditional Meskhetian dishes.

It is the second year that the National Tourism Administration organizes similar tours in connection with the Bread Festival. The Bread Festival is a one-day event, which was established in 2010 by the initiative of the Biological Farming Association “Elkana”. From 2021, the Samtskhe-Javakheti DMO joined the organization of the festival while this year, Akhaltsikhe Municipality City Hall also took part in it as an organizer.
