Samtskhe-Javakheti Destination Management Organization participates in the Pilot Project of Transnational Tourism Product Development and Promotion together with Kakheti DMO and four other Destination Management Organizations located in Armenia.
The aim of the project is to develop three transnational tourism routes. The thematic routes will cover – the unique Culture, Adventure and Gastronomy of the two countries.
Among other activities, the parties already implemented tourism asset mapping and evaluation, visitor survey and elaboration of promotional materials. In order to test the itineraries, the representatives of DMOs implemented in test tour and visited the main locations.
